Floral henna tattoos ♥

I got some beautiful henna tattoos for the holidays at the salon. it was a whole range of designs i was to chose from, I ended up being spoilt for choice that i had to seek some assistance and narrowed all my favorites to three and finally settled for this design.
I wanted something that wasn't a complex design. I loved the floral designs,i know they are not out the box kind of designs, they are pretty, simple and thats what i liked about this design.

This particular design is a Sudanese design. They look great on my deep dark brown skin tone. The Sudanese and somali henna designs are somehow similar coz both designs use dark colored henna and spaced out, ideally to suit dark skin tones. They are the kind of designs you are more likely too come across in the east african region and regions with dark skin toned  women.
They are other types of designs like Indian mehndi and arabic henna designs that are usually very intricate,filled-in kind of  designs, this is also due to the traditions practiced, for example in Indian wedding customs, the darker the hand, the stronger the marriage, hence the designs are filled in with the more henna. so, that's lots of henna on the hand. Both the Indian and arabic designs, require a skilled artist  or some level of mastery to do for them to come out looking great. this suit light, olive to fair skin tones and are very popular in Asia and the Middle-east regions.
Henna designs are great for weddings, parties or if you just fancy pampering yourself. The best part is that they are temporary (mine lasted about two weeks) and are a great alternative to permanent tattoos, just in case you have fears that you might get a permanent one and end up regretting your decision or.. you are just scared of getting one:) then this is the solution coz you can have any design that you want and as often as you please! cool, right!
Lastly and most important tip; get a qualified henna artist for your tattoos, coz some henna dyes end up causing some seriously nasty complications like vesicular eruptions on the skin,(especially when using black henna) so its very important for you to get a qualified henna tattoo artist to do it and better if they can test the dye on your skin before drawing the designs on you.
Enjoy your tatts for as long as they last!
