Afro-Mordern

For a long time i was never a fan of African wear but i am having a re-view of my stand on African wear.its amazing how over the years African Designers have fused the African and "western" dressing styles to form an Afro modern look that retains its chicness.i am absolutely loving the "lesso/kanga" jumpsuits and bubble dresses.

I have reviewd several African designers collections with a modern twist to it and so far my favorite is renown Cameroon designer Imane Ayissi currently in France. He presented his eighth collection Vogue Afrique at the Buren Cirque in Paris in September 2002 and showcased one of his collection at the Fashion for Peace 2008 event in Kenya and that was one of the most breathtaking of collections.. it definitely deserved a standing ovation..

The Swahili Fashion week, another fashion event that never disappointing. lots of African designs showcased and yet again more of the Afro-modern touch seen over and over again and makes my eyes keep craving for more :) here designers clearly! do not have words such as disappointing in their dictionaries. My personal favorite here being Christine Mhando’s collections.

Just when i thought i had seen it all came Gwen stefani's L.A.M.B
Honestly,i would wear anything from this line  its like..all so chic and practical.

whow! now i feel like my wadrobe is so oudated.i've gotta get me some Afro-Modern ASAP!!!
Clearly Afro-Mordern is whats up... for luck of a better word(s) :-D
